Finish & Structural Carpentry
The trim, framing, and repair work that most contractors would rather subcontract out.
Carpentry is the thread running through everything else we do. Sometimes it is the whole job: a rotted porch column, a staircase that needs rebuilding, an addition that needs framing, custom trim that has to match a house built in 1890.
Matching what is already there
On an older home, new trim that does not match is worse than no trim at all. We reproduce the profile so the repair disappears into the original work.
Structural work done properly
Sistered joists, new headers, corrected framing. When we open a wall and find something wrong, we fix it correctly rather than patching around it.
Small jobs count
A single rotted column or a set of stairs is still worth doing right. We take the small work that keeps a house from becoming a big project later.
