A small crew that answers for its own work
Mariotte Construction & Remodeling is a family-run contractor based in Boylston. We kept the team small on purpose: the person who quotes your job is on site while it happens, and there is nobody in between to lose the message.
That structure is why we can move quickly on questions and why the finish work holds up. We would rather turn down a job than rush it past the point where the details start slipping.

Five trades, one crew, one number to call
Windows and doors are our specialty and the bulk of our calendar. Everything else we take on is work we can stand behind with the same people.

Window & Door Replacement
Our specialty. Old units out, new ones in, flashed and trimmed so the opening is tighter than the day the house was built.

Everything here is a consequence of staying small
We are not trying to be the biggest contractor in Worcester County. We are trying to be the one whose work you stop thinking about after it is finished.
A small crew, on purpose
You deal with the people doing the work. No layers, no dispatcher, no guessing who is showing up on Tuesday.
Details other crews skip
Flashing, trim returns, caulk lines, clean cuts. The parts of the job you only notice years later when they fail.
Answers the same day
Questions get returned quickly. You always know what happens next and roughly when it happens.
We finish past the line
Delivering more than the estimate promised is the standard we hold ourselves to on every project.
From the first phone call to the last walkthrough
No mystery, no surprise line items. Here is exactly what working with us looks like.
- 01
Walk the project together
We come out, look at the actual conditions, and talk through what you want. Measurements and photos, not a guess over the phone.
- 02
A written, itemized estimate
Materials, labor, and scope in plain language, so you can see what you are paying for and compare it fairly.
- 03
Scheduled and built
You get a start date and a realistic finish date. The site gets protected daily and cleaned before we leave.
- 04
Final walkthrough
We go through the work with you, handle anything on your list, and register the manufacturer warranties.

Straight answers, before you spend anything
The questions we get asked at every estimate, written out properly so you can make a decision without a salesperson in the room.

When to replace your windows instead of repairing them
Not every draughty window needs to go. Here is how we tell the difference between a cheap fix and money you are about to waste.

Full-frame vs insert replacement: which one your house needs
The single biggest decision in a window project, explained without the sales pitch, including when the cheaper option is genuinely the right one.

Vinyl vs fiber cement siding in New England weather
Both work here. They fail differently, cost differently, and suit different houses. A straight comparison from crews who install both.
May 9, 2026The things homeowners ask us first
Are you licensed and insured in Massachusetts?
Yes. Mariotte Construction & Remodeling Inc holds Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration MA HIC #216267 and carries liability insurance. We are glad to send current certificates before work begins.
How much does a window or door replacement cost?
It depends on the opening size, the frame condition behind the old unit, and the product line you choose. We measure every opening, then price the job as a written itemized estimate. There is no charge for the estimate.
How long does a typical project take?
A handful of windows is usually a one to two day job. Full siding on an average home runs one to two weeks. Interior renovations depend on scope, and we give you a realistic window before we start rather than an optimistic one.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. When a town requires a permit for the work, we pull it and schedule the inspections as part of the job.
What brands and materials do you install?
We install the major window and door lines along with vinyl, fiber cement, and cedar siding. We will walk you through the options that actually fit your home and budget instead of pushing one brand.
Do you work in the winter?
Yes. Windows, doors, and interior work continue through New England winters. We stage the exterior work so your home is never left open, and we watch the forecast when scheduling siding.
Can I see work you have done nearby?
Absolutely. Tell us your town and we will point you to recent projects in the area and put you in touch with past clients as references.
